Shoe Drive Continues

Our shoe drive is still in full swing! A few days ago our adoption story was featured in the Meadville Tribune. You can read it here: http://www.meadvilletribune.com/local/x1186903684/Shoe-drive-on-to-help-family-raise-funds-in-international-adoption-effort

This past Sunday we spent four hours waving signs outside of Dairy Queen as people brought their used shoes to us. We raised about 750lbs. of shoes that day and were so blessed by the positive response from the community. We met a few families who are also on the adoption journey and were encouraged by them! We even had some people who pulled over and gave us shoes that they just happened to have in their car even though they knew nothing about what we were doing. We had the chance to talk to lots of people about the joy of adoption. Like a close friend said, "This shoe thing is about more than just collecting shoes." It has opened the doors to allow us to share God's heart for adoption. It was a great day overall!

Cold but having fun! Me, my sister Kristen, Olivia and Sawyer

Cliff enjoying his hot chocolate....a special delivery from Dairy Queen!

The Loot!

The Buchanan Family and their lovely Bulgarian daughter!

We are still in need of a large number of shoes to reach our 15,000 lbs. Please spread the word! Almost everyone has at least a pair or two that they are looking to get rid of! We will continue to collect until the end of January or until we meet our goal. Our ongoing drop-off locations are:

New Beginnings Church of God in Meadville
First Church of God in Cambridge Springs
OR let us know and we will come to you!

Thank you to all who have already donated their shoes!

Blessings!
